We’ve had a few people come into the fitting station lately in a real pickle. When visiting Australia from overseas or relocating here, don’t bother bringing your car seat with you. Even the best international seats cannot be used in Australia - they MUST have the Australian standards AS/NZS1754 sticker on them. Aussie standards are strict and it’s obvious to police what many foreign seats look like. It's likely thatthey will book you AND require you to sort out a legal seat immediately. We often get asked: When Should my baby move to a front facing car seat? Or Until what age can my baby stay in a capsule? Typically capsules are used only until around 6 -12 months of age depending on the capsule, however as long as your baby’s shoulders are under the marker they can stay in for longer.
