Car Seat Tip Tuesday - When Should My Baby Move to a Front Facing Car Seat?
Posted by Juliet Fernandez on
We often get asked: When Should my baby move to a front facing car seat? Or Until what age can my baby stay in a capsule?
Typically capsules are used only until around 6 -12 months of age depending on the capsule, however as long as your baby’s shoulders are under the marker they can stay in for longer. Children are far safer in a capsule while their shoulders are under that marker, even if the child's legs are starting to bunch up on the seat therefore we recommend you keep them there as neck injuries can happen very easily in an accident for young children in front facing car seats.
If you don’t really want to buy a new restraint for this short period, then you can always consider hiring a capsule from Baby Things for that period of time.
