#carseattiptuesday Q: what’s the most common error we’ve seen this year in restraint fittings by drivers? A: over-tightening the tether in rear-facing installations. You just need to take the slack out of the tether. Over-tightening will cause the seat to be pulled more upright and you can risk causing positional asphyxiation in baby. Aim for a 45 degree angle along the spinal area of the seat (interior). New Service! Tether adjuster side swaps (Rear facing only)

Great news for customers with twins or 2 rear facing kids. We are now authorised to change the tether on a variety of Britax seats to allow the adjuster to sit doorside when RF on the driver’s side of the car. This is an extra service to fittings so will incur an extra charge. It CANNOT be done at home by you. IMPORTANT NOTE: Tethers MUST be put back into original mode by a an authorised fitter when seats are switched to forward facing mode. Contact us now for more information on this service.
