Car Seat Tip Tuesday - Save the Front Seat Until they're 13

Posted by Juliet Fernandez on

Save the front seat until they're 13.
Why?
1. Research shows kids under the height of 145cm for which adult seatbelts are made are 3 times more likely to incur head and other severe injuries.
2. Because children under 13 tend to be smaller & sit lower, airbags don't deploy in a useful manner for them and are far less helpful - even dangerous.
3. Research shows that injury is twice as likely to occur in the front passenger seat than rear seats even without restraints being used in the back.
4. They try to control the stereo. Enough said.
